Why do capybaras take baths with oranges?
I was watching one of my favorite YouTubers, Urban Rescue Ranch, which features an animal sanctuary in Waco run by a kind, Christian man who rescues unwanted animals and gives them a second chance at life. He showed us the baby pool he bought and filled it with oranges donated by the local grocery store.
The sweet orange oil in the peel gives their bodies much needed vitamin c because they can get very sick without it.
Giving it to them through their skin gives them:
